Bring in Spring!

Spring has FINALLY sprung! At least here in New York, and let me tell you, it is long overdue.
With the changing seasons comes the need for some sprucing up: now, you may be asking yourself, how can I make changes that will make a major impact on my living space but not so major on my wallet? Simple.

The Ultimate Mother's Hideaway

First and foremost I want to wish a very happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, and to help you celebrate I wanted to write this blog post to tell you that you deserve you time and you deserve a place to enjoy it.

Your nights are long and your days are even longer, they all sort of drag together... Do you even know what day it is? While you're rushing around taking care of everyone from your kids, your pets, your man-child husband, where is the time you get for you? And even if you did have time, where could you spend it? Man cave shman cave, its time for the ultimate mother's hideaway.

Ditch the Laundromat & Make Your Dream Laundry Room (Yes There is Such a Thing)

Ironing Service, Iron, Budget, House Work, Laundry

If you're like, well, everyone else in America, you hate doing laundry. There is just no way around it. There is nothing appealing about washing someone else's dirty socks and used underwear, even your own, can't they come up with something to do and fold laundry for you?? While unfortunately I am not technologically advanced enough to do that, what I can help with is helping you to pretend you like doing laundry. And what I mean by that is creating a space that you enjoy that just happens to be the same place you have to do something you do not enjoy.

Right now I can almost bet your laundry room looks something like this: white walls, white appliances, one hideous florescent ceiling light possibly filled with flies, oh yes and lets not forget that enormous pile of laundry you've been putting off for a week (or.. month, but who is counting?) something out of a horror movie sound about right? Maybe some of you have the updated or stackable washer and dryer, awesome. Now, how can we make this an appealing room?
