Is itttttttt... The Hyatt in Hawaii right on Waikiki Beach? Ocean front, private balcony, white bedspread, enormous bathroom, all glass stand up shower, heated toilet seats with a built in bidet, automatic toilet paper, heated floors, ughhhh.
Sorry got a little lost in memory there.
Now why do you love this hotel and its amazing bathroom? Because its clean, crisp, modern and inviting. Now if only, if only, we could go back from our amazing (two weeks on the most incredible island in the world) vacation and have right in our own home, we'd be, eh, almost satisfied. But more so than if we were to come home to whats currently a creepy crawly dingy bathroom, right? Well I'll tell you right here and now, you can have that.
Without going and changing your shower doors, hardware and counter tops, the pathway to a luxurious bathroom does no have to be an unrealistic or expensive one. There are a few small changes you can make to open the doors to your new resort/spa-like bathroom.
TAKE THE TOWELS OUT FROM UNDER THE SINK, PLEASE! A fancy-ish display for your towels. Putting towels in a neat, accessible and stylish display is the number one way to step up your toilet room game. There are tons of beautiful, quality pieces at flea markets and yard sales that would make for a great towel rack, hanging wine rack? Yes. Got enough space for a small desk? Ever seen one of these? Perfect.
.

Plants. I will never give up telling people they need plants in every single room in their home, oh and look it'll fit perfectly right atop your new fancy towel holder. Succubus are great for bathrooms, low maintenance and they grow just fine with the humidity from the shower.
If you take but one tip from this blog post, let it be this - ditch the dingy plastic thing you have holding your toothbrushes. Change it out for a glass, just a simple glass or porcelain cup; to up the anty even more, use glass for everything. Cotton balls - glass jar. Q-tips - glass. Bar soap - glass dish. Is shabby chic more your style? Uh, hellooooo, mason jars!
Now, if you are looking to go the extra mile and invest a little more on the place your husband spends a whole lotta time in, consider a few things:
- Glass, frameless shower doors
- Changing your sink from an undermount to a bowl sink and the faucet to a wall mount.
- Accent wall tiles!
- Do you need a bidet or heated toilet seats? No, but you want them .
